MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

"SO WHAT DID YOU GET ME?"

Fine way to start a Christmas Greeting, huh?

I thought I'd ask the question everyone will want to ask you if you've trained them to expect a gift every year. I'm so anti-tradition and more about relationship building. Relationships make the world go round, not gifts. We are all gifts in and of ourselves. I shared three Health tips leading up to Christmas, I've included them in this post.

Please enjoy your families, try to have a nice long conversation with a niece or nephew, try to listen and be engaging. Give them the floor to speak their mind you'd be amazed at the outcome.

Pamper yourself, get rest, turn the TV off and read a book, snuggle for over an hour with your spouse. If you eat pasta, slurp on the same noodle with your honey, like the dogs did in.........what's the name of that movie? I hope you are laughing!

Make Christmas special for your little kids 12 and under. Teach them the real meaning of Christmas by age 5. Leave the note for Santa, even the cookies and milk ( I do raw cookies and almond milk ). But, I have always taught my children that God blesses us that we may be a blessing to others and that everything we have comes from Him. I don't believe in a years worth of unruly teenagers but on Christmas treat them like Saints. If you agree, holla'!

Stay tuned for my New Years Eve message of hope, faith, love, perseverance , courage, joy and health for the next 12 months.

In Gods best,
Chelly - I am nothing without the one who made me!

CHELLY'S WEEKLY HEALTH TIP

THREE WEEKLY HEALTH TIPS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!

WEEK #1

1. DON'T SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE

2. DON'T BUY GIFTS FOR EVERYONE OR ANYONE

3. DON'T SPEND THE HOLIDAY WITH STRESS GIVERS

DO I SOUND LIKE SCROOGE? QUITE HONESTLY, I'D RATHER HAVE GOOD RELATIONSHIPS AND PEACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAN A GIFT ONE TIME A YEAR FROM SOMEONE I DON'T SEE, SPEND MUCH TIME WITH OR WHO HAS LITTLE RESPECT FOR ME.

HONOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR!!!

1. BE HONEST ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU HAVE OR DON'T HAVE TO SPEND.
2. RELEASE PRESSURE THAT CAUSES STRESS AND FEELINGS OF INADEQUACY.
3. SPEND THE HOLIDAY WITH THOSE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THEMSELVES AND YOU BEING WHO YOU ARE.

WEEK #2

1. GIVE WHAT YOU DO HAVE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL WONDERFUL.
2. GIVE EVERYONE WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO RECEIVE IN RETURN
3. CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE, JOY AND LAUGHTER
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A FAIR TALE?
GIVING HUGS, WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, A HELPING HAND OR A PRAYER NOT ONLY HELPS OTHERS TO FEEL AMAZING, YOU RECEIVE A GIFT AS WELL. WHEN WE TRULY TREAT OTHERS HOW WE'D LIKE TO BE TREATED EVERYONE FEELS BETTER. CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT'S SAFE, COMFORTING AND WELCOMING IS A GREAT WAY TO RELIEVE THE PRESSURE OF THE HOLIDAYS. WHAT'S THIS PRESSURE ALL ABOUT ANYWAYS?

HONOR YOURSELF THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!

1. BE HONEST ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU PLAN TO EAT.
2. RELEASE THE NEED TO PLEASE OTHERS IN REGARDS TO YOUR DIET AND LIFESTYLE.
3. SPEND SOME TIME ACCOMPLISHING SOME OF THE UNFINISHED GOALS YOU SET FOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR.

IF YOU HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE DISRESPECTFUL IN THE AREA OF DIET AND LIFESTYLE HERE IS WHAT YOU MUST DO.

1. BRING A DELICIOUS HEALTHY DISH FOR ALL TO SHARE.
2. PLAN THE DURATION OF YOUR VISIT AND HAVE SOMETHING ELSE FUN PLANNED.
3. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND KEEP DIRECTING THE CONVERSATION TO ALL THINGS UNRELATED TO DIET AND LIFESTYLE.
4. IF IT'S REALLY BAD, DON'T GO, SEND A CARD AND SPEND YOUR TIME WITH THOSE WHO GIVE RESPECT AND LOVE.

FINAL HEALTH TIP BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!

WEEK #3

REMEMBER:

WE ARE NOT SPENDING WHAT WE DON'T HAVE OR NEED TO.

WE ARE NOT GIFTING TO MAKE OTHERS HAPPY.

WE ARE ENDING 2011 BEING TRUE TO OURSELVES AND TRANSPARENT IN 2012 TO OTHERS.

WE ARE SHEDDING THE WEIGHT, STEPPING OUT OF DENIAL INTO FORGIVENESS.

WE ARE TONING AND STRENGTHENING OUR CORE, THIGHS AND ARMS.

WE ARE SHEDDING THE VEIL AND LETTING OUR INNER LIGHT SHINE.

WE ARE REMOVING BAGGAGE THAT HOLDS US DOWN.

WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH POSITIVE ENERGY.

WE ARE CALLING COACH CHELLY FOR HELP IN THE MONTHS TO COME.

I HAD TO THROW THAT IN!!!

EATING 101

1. IF YOU'RE GOING TO PIG OUT DRINK TONS OF WATER BEFORE YOUR MEAL OR

2. DEVOUR A LARGE GREEN SALAD WITH A VEGETABLE RAINBOW FIRST OR

3. CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE, JOY AND LAUGHTER AND JUST EAT!

4. CALL ME WHEN IT'S OVER :)

**IF YOU NEED HELP DURING THE HOLIDAYS MAKE AND BRING YOUR OWN HEALTHY MEAL, YOUR WORTH IT**

GET YOUR EXERCISE ANYWAY YOU CAN:

THE HOLIDAYS DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ABOUT THE FOOD. EAT BEFORE YOU GO AND BE THE RUNNER. YOU KNOW "PASS THE PEAS", "OH, I DROPPED MY FORK, CAN YOU GET ME ANOTHER", "REFILL THE GRAVY PLEASE", "PLEASE REHEAT THE YAMS", "WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF PUNCH".

VOLUNTEER TO BE THE MASTER OF CEREMONY:

GOOGLE FUN GAMES OR TOPICS TO BRING THE FAMILY CLOSER TOGETHER AND DISCUSS THEM OVER DINNER. TALK ABOUT SPECIFIC EVENTS FROM PAST FAMILY GATHERINGS AND SEE WHO HAS THE BEST MEMORY. PLAY FAMILY FEUD AND YOU BE STEVE HARVEY (HE IS THE KNEW HOST ON THE SHOW). MAKE UP SILLY QUESTIONS, MAKE COPIES AND HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS ANSWER THEM AND THEN HAVE THEM EXCHANGE PAPERS. AT DINNER COLLECT ALL PAPERS AND QUIZ THEM ON THE ANSWERS. YOU MAY EVEN HELP YOUR FAMILY TO EAT LESS.

EAT HEALTHY AND KEEP THE THANKSGIVING TIPS TO HELP WITH MEAL TIME THIS CHRISTMAS. I HOPE THESE SUGGESTIONS HELP. IF YOU CAN'T DEAL WITH THE PRESSURE, JUST REMEMBER YOU'VE ENJOYED THESE FOODS BEFORE AND THINK ABOUT HOW THEY TASTED AND ENJOY THAT MOMENT AND THEN CHOOSE LIFE AND HEALTH INSTEAD. THAT IS HOW I'VE MADE IT 8 YEARS!

TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW TO INCORPORATE THESE CHANGES INTO YOUR LIFESTYLE, SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION WITH ME. YOU MAY NOT REALIZE HOW YOU ARE GETTING IN YOUR OWN WAY.

NEED AN OVERHAUL AT YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO YOUR EMPLOYER OR HR DEPARTMENT MANAGER.

THIS WEEKS HEALTH TIP

CHELLY'S WEEKLY HEALTH TIP - JOIN MY NEWSLETTER TO RECEIVE TIPS!

OUR ELDERS CARE - HOW WILL YOUR LIFE LOOK AT 90 YEARS OLD?

MY SISTER JUST SHARED WITH ME THAT SHE WAS SADDENED ONE DAY AS SHE ORGANIZED MY GRANDFATHERS PILLS FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK. MY SISTER MENTIONED HOW ONE OF HIS PILLS WAS EXTREMELY LARGE. RIGHT NOW MY GRANDFATHER HAS HAD ONE KNEE REPLACEMENT AND HE IS A CANDIDATE FOR A SECOND KNEE REPLACEMENT. HE IS IN AN ELECTRIC WHEEL CHAIR, SO THE FIRST SURGERY HAS NOT IMPROVED HIS QUALITY OF LIFE. HE IS IN AND OUT OF THE HOSPITAL DUE TO FLUID ACCUMULATION IN HIS CHEST CAVITY AND LUNGS. HE WILL BE 90 IN JANUARY. I KNOW 90 YEAR OLDS WHO RUN DAILY AND LIVE A VERY ACTIVE LIFESTYLE. YOU CAN GROW OLD GRACEFULLY, IT'S A CHOICE.

HAVE A PARENT OR GRANDPARENT TO CARE FOR? ARE YOU WATCHING THE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT EXPERIMENT ON YOUR LOVED ONE?

HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO PUT IN PLACE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES:
*QUESTION THE DOCTORS MEDICATION AND SURGICAL SUGGESTIONS
*BUY A VITAMIX FROM ME AND START TO MAKE PUREED FOOD USING RAW FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, THIS WILL HELP IMPROVE DIGESTION, ASSIMILATION OF NUTRIENTS, PREVENT UNNECESSARY WEIGHT LOSS AND HELP WITH THOSE MISSING TEETH.
*PAY ATTENTION TO DENTURE ADHESIVES THAT CONTAIN HARMFUL INGREDIENTS.
*USE COCONUT OIL ON DRY SKIN
*GIVE FULL BODY MASSAGES TO INCREASE CIRCULATION
*PLAY SOOTHING MUSIC, TELL THEM HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM

HEALTHY HARVEST - OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.
-Mark Twain

Time Management

Have you ever wished for a few more hours in the day? Why is it that some people seem to get everything done effortlessly and others feel that time constantly eludes them? The secret to managing your time well isn’t working more hours. It is about prioritizing the important things and learning to use the time you have more efficiently and effectively. The secret is working smarter, not harder.

Some of us, by nature, organize and get tasks out of the way before we relax, while others of us play first and work later. It is important to first recognize which type you are and whether your style is allowing you to have the life you really want. Maybe you are super-organized at work, but burned out because you don’t know how to make time for yourself. Maybe you are naturally a less organized person who knows how to relax, but you are dissatisfied because you aren’t fulfilling your goals and dreams.
Rather than labeling yourself or beating yourself up, realize that time management is an area of your life that you can strengthen. Like a new muscle, it takes practice and repetition to make it stronger. To help you get started, here are some steps to streamline your days at work and at home. Try the first one or two that jump out at you:

- Allocate time for planning and organizing.
- Create to-do lists that are realistic, not intimidating. Use only one to-do list.
- Under-schedule your time: Leave time for the unexpected situations and for interruptions. When you estimate how long something will take, add on a third of that time.
- Schedule your time in a way that reduces interruptions that lower your productivity.
- Practice the art of intelligent neglect: Eliminate trivial tasks.
- Prioritize what is most important and do that first.
- Consider your biological prime time: At what time of day do you work best? Plan to do your most important work at that time.
- If you say yes to everything that comes your way, learn to say no.
- Ask for help and delegate.
- In the evening make your to-do list for the next day, so it will be out of your brain and on a piece of paper. Leave work with a clear head and a clean desk.
- Acknowledge yourself daily for all that you have accomplished.

Also take a look at the two biggest hindrances to using time effectively: procrastinating and lacking purpose. We usually procrastinate when a task seems too daunting, too large or too complex, or when we feel we won’t be able to handle it. When you get that “deer in the headlights” feeling, try “chunking”: break the large task into smaller, manageable action steps and start with the first one. We also often drag our heels or use our time inefficiently because we are bored, unengaged and uninspired. The most effective people will tell you that they love what they do and are aligned with a greater purpose. When it comes to managing your time, you may need to ask the larger questions, “Am I doing what I love to do? Am I doing something meaningful to me?”

As you strengthen your new time management muscle, keep your focus on getting organized so that you can live the life you came here for. Instead of being a chore, good time management can be your ticket to more fun, greater satisfaction and a vibrant, exciting life.

I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH & LIFESTYLE

When was the last time you talked with someone about your health and received the personal attention you deserve?

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and goals with a trained professional. As a Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that will enable you to achieve all of your health goals. I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you.

Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.

No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.

Could one conversation change your life? Schedule a free initial consultation with me today!

Cure August Anxiety with Relaxation & Exercise

Relaxation and Exercise

Summer is often a time for serious play, time off and deep relaxation. Many of us use the summertime to rebuild our reserves for the rest of the busy year. In our work-crazed society we can lose sight of the benefits of slowing down and taking time to rest. Now that summer is in full swing, it's time to enjoy the restorative powers of reconnecting to your body through movement and relaxation.

The body loves to move. Even though our body is healthiest when it is getting appropriate physical activity, we often feel dread and boredom when we hear the word "exercise". Think for a moment of what type of movement you would consider fun as opposed to torturous. Perhaps you loathe the idea of a gym, but miss taking dance classes. Maybe you secretly want to try yoga or rollerblading. You could play touch football with your kids, walk with a neighbor in the mornings or go for a swim. The summer offers so many choices - it's simply up to you to choose which style of movement excites you. Your heart will thank you, your soul will be gratified, your limbs will be more fluid and you'll sleep better at night.

Summer is a unique time of year when we can do both our relaxation and our movement out in nature. Take a nap in a hammock and enjoy the smell of freshly cut grass. Go to the park and meditate or read under a favorite tree. One of the greatest places to rest in the summertime is by the water. There is something magical and restorative in water, and we naturally crave to be near it, by it or in it. Heading to the water, whether it is the beach, a lake or a kiddy pool, can be relaxing and rejuvenating.

Whether you are relaxing, exercising or both, notice that being outside in nature has a profound way of quieting the mind and reconnecting us to ourselves. Often this relaxation and peace of mind are what our bodies crave the most. So while summer is with us, strap on your sandals and enjoy the rich elements of sun, wind and water and the nourishment that they bring.

Hot August Tip: Water
Most of us are unaware of the importance of drinking enough water. Getting our daily dose of water helps our organs perform their functions, keeps our skin clear and hydrated, and allows physical action in our bodies to flow smoothly. Who holds you accountable for your water consumption?

Watermelon Time

Summer is here, so you know what that means, watermelon, I can't live without it. So, I go to my nearest
Wholefoods to get some yummy melon. When picking
one, you look for one that has a yellow spot, then you know it's
good.

July Newsletter Preview

The man who does things makes many mistakes, but he never makes the biggest mistake of all - doing nothing.
-Benjamin Franklin

Try Something New

Summer is finally in full force, and the living is easy! Do you notice in summertime how everything seems promising? The plants are in full bloom and the sun feels glorious on your skin. The longer days give you boundless energy, making you feel like it's possible to achieve all your desires and dreams. Why not harness this energy, ride the wave of summer and try something new?

Throughout the year we live at an intense pace (physical, emotional and mental), and we often get stuck in routine, either for the sake of efficiency or out of fear of unfamiliar territory. The lack of variety in doing the same things over and over stagnates not only our minds, but also our bodies and hearts. Are you hesitant to break your routine? Fear and excitement have the same physiological expression in our bodies; it is our mind that classifies the feeling as either positive or negative. So the next time you consider a change in routine and your mind says "scary!" see if you can re- frame it as "exciting!"

What is something you have never done before or that you have wanted to do for a long time? Choose your own adventure: organize a kayak trip, take a dance class, do some exotic traveling or set a goal for a new personal challenge. Or try something simple, like playing flashlight tag with your kids and neighbors or reading in the sunshine. Maybe it's time to discover a new vegetable dish or to visit a new town, restaurant or beach.

Whatever adventure calls to you, use this summer to make it happen and enjoy your life. Increasing new experiences and excitement in your life can decrease your dependence
on artificial stimulants like caffeine and sugar, leading to more vibrant health. Watch out for massive improvements in physical well-being, mental acuity and motivation, plus a full portfolio of fun.

Tips:

1. Eat lots of alkalinizing watermelon for the water and the nutrients!
2. Juice your vegetables this summer, go over board let's increase those nutrients and decrease the rates of cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol and digestive track disorders. 3. Increase your energy without the Coffee have fresh squeezed fruit juice instead.

Snack Attack

How's your "snack life"?

Hi All!! Thank you for your support! I have a question. Are you being real with yourself? Can you honestly say you are not stressed, fatigued, sick, nutrient deficient, constipated and/or overweight?

I will be the first to admit, that was me 7 years ago. Since then, I've lost 47 pounds, 7 dress sizes, 1 shoe size, wake up breathing clearly, manage stress appropriately and I never get sick!

Check out my services on my new website www.IhaveDivineHealth.com
Click on the Events Tab.

ARE YOU A SNACKER?

There’s no denying that everyone, at one time or another, has had a snack attack. Views on snacking differ. Some feel that snacking is bad and that eating between meals leads to weight gain. Others believe that eating many small meals and snacks throughout the day is healthy for maintaining energy levels and optimal weight. If there were one way of snacking that was right for everyone, we would all be doing it!

To alleviate snack attack guilt, try to understand why you are snacking and what snacks work best for your body. Perhaps you snack because your daily diet is missing nutrition, or because you are eating too little at meals. You might be snacking to soothe jangled nerves when you are emotional, or to entertain yourself when you are bored. Whatever your reason, acknowledge it and start thinking about how to create a life that is nourishing and truly satisfying. Although snacks are no substitute for loving your life, they can be great energy boosters. Many convenient snack foods are highly processed and full of chemicals, additives, damaging fats and refined sugars. When a snack attack hits you, try foods that are filling and satisfying, but also nutritious. Here are some tips:

· Snack on things that don’t come in a plastic wrapper or a box, like fresh fruit, vegetables or fruit with cashew or almond butter.

· Make your own signature trail mix, a delicious smoothie or vegetable juice, try guacamole dip and vegetables.

You can also try “upgrading”:

· If you are craving something crunchy, upgrade from potato chips to raw carrots, apples or firm grapes.

· If you are craving a candy bar, upgrade to a handful of nuts and dried fruit.

· Instead of a cup of coffee, upgrade to green tea.

· Instead of ice cream, upgrade to applesauce with cinnamon made in the Vitamix.

Upgraded snacks are high in nutrition and give you a greater sense of satiety and satisfaction; you won’t feel physically or psychologically deprived, and you’ll have plenty of energy to sustain your activities for hours. Snacking is enjoyable and there is a wide variety of healthful goodies for whatever you’re craving, be it sweet, crunchy, salty, creamy or spicy. Dive in, be creative and enjoy your snack attack. Learn more about why you crave what you crave by scheduling a Health Breakthrough Consultation with me.

Healthy Tip: Fruit

A healthy lifestyle is the key to longevity, optimum weight, abundant energy and balance. By using fruit to satisfy our taste for sweetness, we can leave behind the use of chemical, processed and refined sweeteners. Fruits are easy to digest, are cleansing and cooling and are great for those who are overstressed and overheated from excessive mental strain or hot climates. Fruits are filled with fiber and liver stimulants, which act as natural, gentle laxatives. Whenever possible, buy fresh, locally grown fruit as opposed to imported fruits shipped fromfar-off places. This keeps you eating in season, and more in harmony with your environment and climate.

Eating raw fruit in summer months is highly cooling, while baking it in the winter months neutralizes the cooling effect. Fruit in the form of juice is a great choice for cleansing the body, but be aware that juice made in extracting juicers (removing pulp) rapidly raises blood sugar levels, leading to an energy crash soon after. Frozen, whole, puréed or juiced fruit made in a Vitamix with ALL of the FIBER helps maintain normal blood sugar and can make great summertime cool-down treats. Try frozen grapes, banana-coconut smoothie popsicles or lime juice ice-cubes in iced tea! Whether you are having fresh fruit for a light early morning breakfast, a midday snack or evening treat, enjoy nature's sweetness and whenever possible buy organic. Here are a few summer fruits and their health benefits:

Apricots: Great for lung conditions and asthma; used to help treat anemia due to their high copper and cobalt content.

Bananas: Help to lubricate the intestines, treat ulcers, detoxify the body and manage sugar cravings; are rich in potassium (which helps hypertension).

Cherries: Slightly warming in nature; increase overall body energy, remedy arthritis and rheumatism and are rich in iron, which improves the blood.

Grapefruits: Treat poor digestion, increase appetite during pregnancy, alleviate intestinal gas and reduce

mucus conditions of the lungs.

Papayas: Tone the stomach, act as digestive aid, moisten the lungs and alleviate coughing; contain carpaine, an anti-tumor compound.

Raspberries: Benefit the liver and kidneys, cleanse blood of toxins, regulate menstrual cycles, treat anemia and can promote labor at childbirth.

Recipe of the Month: Fruit Nut Smoothie

BRIGHTER DAYS

HI EVERYONE!!

Take a moment and think about the people who are suffering. Everything may be going okay for you, but there are many people who are suffering with the economy, accidental injuries, poor health and relationship woes.

I pray for those who are hurting and who don't know which side is up right now. Life is a process and sometimes it can make a world of difference just saying a prayer for, "All those in need of prayer, who can not pray for themselves".

Make your life a happy and healthy one despite your circumstances, hardships shall pass.

As we near summer, cookouts, parties, family gatherings be careful, mindful and remain a conscious consumer. Remember just because we can buy everything does not mean we should consume all things.

We vote on our foods quality standards daily with our fork. You can make anything taste good. Pay attention to what you eat, whose preparing it and where it's coming from!

The hardest thing for me is to see old friends and family members aging rapidly, suffering from sickness and disease and deteriorating rapidly.

The old saying, "you are what you eat", is true. It does not mean if you have a burger, you are a burger. It does however mean you become the energy and life of that burger, which unfortunately is death!

Years and years of consuming the same foods eventually take their toll on your health. I want to grow old gracefully, shocking people as I do now when I tell them my age. I want to have fun now and 50 years from now. What goals do you have for yourself?

If you are having trouble with your personal goals, I can help you to get "unstuck".

Set up a Health Consultation with me.

Let's talk and rebuild your road to health and happiness.

Check out my website so that you can say, "I Have Divine Health".

Happy New Year!!!

True life is lived when tiny changes occur.
-Leo Tolstoy

New Year, New You

A lot of people begin the New Year by making resolutions. We've all been there. We take a vow to lose weight, exercise more or spend more time with our family. We start the year with great intentions, but then we quickly relapse into old habits. Why is it so hard to stick to those New Year's resolutions?

Here are some ways you can make your intentions a reality this year:

1. Write down your intentions and keep them in a visible place,
like taped to your bedroom mirror or the dashboard of your car.
2. Get to the source of whatever is keeping you in a rut. Are you
in a stressful relationship that causes you to eat a pint of Ben &
Jerry's every night? Are you stressed at your job and feel too tired
to exercise after work? If you don't tackle the root of the behavior,
it will be much harder to accomplish your goal.
3. Be clear about what your life would look like once you achieve your goal. If you resolve to go to the gym more, how will
this benefit you? Get connected to the result of your action, and
you will be more likely to stick with your plan.
4. Share your resolutions with friends and family. Hold each other accountable for achieving your goals. If you want to go to the gym more, have a friend call you two or three times a week to check on you or invite them to join you.
5. Reward yourself with every little accomplishment. If your intention is to lose weight and you lose 1 pound a week, pamper yourself with a massage. Big changes do not require big leaps. Permanent change is more likely to happen gradually than through one big restrictive plan. Allow yourself to climb the ladder one rung at a time.
