MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

"SO WHAT DID YOU GET ME?"

Fine way to start a Christmas Greeting, huh?

I thought I'd ask the question everyone will want to ask you if you've trained them to expect a gift every year. I'm so anti-tradition and more about relationship building. Relationships make the world go round, not gifts. We are all gifts in and of ourselves. I shared three Health tips leading up to Christmas, I've included them in this post.

Please enjoy your families, try to have a nice long conversation with a niece or nephew, try to listen and be engaging. Give them the floor to speak their mind you'd be amazed at the outcome.

Pamper yourself, get rest, turn the TV off and read a book, snuggle for over an hour with your spouse. If you eat pasta, slurp on the same noodle with your honey, like the dogs did in.........what's the name of that movie? I hope you are laughing!

Make Christmas special for your little kids 12 and under. Teach them the real meaning of Christmas by age 5. Leave the note for Santa, even the cookies and milk ( I do raw cookies and almond milk ). But, I have always taught my children that God blesses us that we may be a blessing to others and that everything we have comes from Him. I don't believe in a years worth of unruly teenagers but on Christmas treat them like Saints. If you agree, holla'!

THREE WEEKLY HEALTH TIPS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!


WEEK #1


1. DON'T SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE

2. DON'T BUY GIFTS FOR EVERYONE OR ANYONE

3. DON'T SPEND THE HOLIDAY WITH STRESS GIVERS

DO I SOUND LIKE SCROOGE? QUITE HONESTLY, I'D RATHER HAVE GOOD RELATIONSHIPS AND PEACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAN A GIFT ONE TIME A YEAR FROM SOMEONE I DON'T SEE, SPEND MUCH TIME WITH OR WHO HAS LITTLE RESPECT FOR ME.


HONOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR!!!

1. BE HONEST ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU HAVE OR DON'T HAVE TO SPEND.
2. RELEASE PRESSURE THAT CAUSES STRESS AND FEELINGS OF INADEQUACY.
3. SPEND THE HOLIDAY WITH THOSE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THEMSELVES AND YOU BEING WHO YOU ARE.



WEEK #2

1. GIVE WHAT YOU DO HAVE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL WONDERFUL.
2. GIVE EVERYONE WHAT YOU'D LIKE TO RECEIVE IN RETURN
3. CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE, JOY AND LAUGHTER
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A FAIR TALE?
GIVING HUGS, WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, A HELPING HAND OR A PRAYER NOT ONLY HELPS OTHERS TO FEEL AMAZING, YOU RECEIVE A GIFT AS WELL. WHEN WE TRULY TREAT OTHERS HOW WE'D LIKE TO BE TREATED EVERYONE FEELS BETTER. CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT'S SAFE, COMFORTING AND WELCOMING IS A GREAT WAY TO RELIEVE THE PRESSURE OF THE HOLIDAYS. WHAT'S THIS PRESSURE ALL ABOUT ANYWAYS?

HONOR YOURSELF THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!

1. BE HONEST ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU PLAN TO EAT.
2. RELEASE THE NEED TO PLEASE OTHERS IN REGARDS TO YOUR DIET AND LIFESTYLE.
3. SPEND SOME TIME ACCOMPLISHING SOME OF THE UNFINISHED GOALS YOU SET FOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR.

IF YOU HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE DISRESPECTFUL IN THE AREA OF DIET AND LIFESTYLE HERE IS WHAT YOU MUST DO.

1. BRING A DELICIOUS HEALTHY DISH FOR ALL TO SHARE.
2. PLAN THE DURATION OF YOUR VISIT AND HAVE SOMETHING ELSE FUN PLANNED.
3. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND KEEP DIRECTING THE CONVERSATION TO ALL THINGS UNRELATED TO DIET AND LIFESTYLE.
4. IF IT'S REALLY BAD, DON'T GO, SEND A CARD AND SPEND YOUR TIME WITH THOSE WHO GIVE RESPECT AND LOVE.

REMEMBER:

WE ARE NOT SPENDING WHAT WE DON'T HAVE OR NEED TO.

WE ARE NOT GIFTING TO MAKE OTHERS HAPPY.

WE ARE ENDING 2011 BEING TRUE TO OURSELVES AND TRANSPARENT IN 2012 TO OTHERS.

WE ARE SHEDDING THE WEIGHT, STEPPING OUT OF DENIAL INTO FORGIVENESS.

WE ARE TONING AND STRENGTHENING OUR CORE, THIGHS AND ARMS.

WE ARE SHEDDING THE VEIL AND LETTING OUR INNER LIGHT SHINE.

WE ARE REMOVING BAGGAGE THAT HOLDS US DOWN.

WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH POSITIVE ENERGY.

WE ARE CALLING COACH CHELLY FOR HELP IN THE MONTHS TO COME.

EATING 101


1. IF YOU'RE GOING TO PIG OUT DRINK TONS OF WATER BEFORE YOUR MEAL OR

2. DEVOUR A LARGE GREEN SALAD WITH A VEGETABLE RAINBOW FIRST OR

3. CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE, JOY AND LAUGHTER AND JUST EAT!

THE HOLIDAYS DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ABOUT THE FOOD. EAT BEFORE YOU GO AND BE THE RUNNER. YOU KNOW "PASS THE PEAS", "OH, I DROPPED MY FORK, CAN YOU GET ME ANOTHER", "REFILL THE GRAVY PLEASE", "PLEASE REHEAT THE YAMS", "WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF PUNCH".


VOLUNTEER TO BE THE MASTER OF CEREMONY:

GOOGLE FUN GAMES OR TOPICS TO BRING THE FAMILY CLOSER TOGETHER AND DISCUSS THEM OVER DINNER. TALK ABOUT SPECIFIC EVENTS FROM PAST FAMILY GATHERINGS AND SEE WHO HAS THE BEST MEMORY. PLAY FAMILY FEUD AND YOU BE STEVE HARVEY (HE IS THE KNEW HOST ON THE SHOW). MAKE UP SILLY QUESTIONS, MAKE COPIES AND HAVE FAMILY MEMBERS ANSWER THEM AND THEN HAVE THEM EXCHANGE PAPERS. AT DINNER COLLECT ALL PAPERS AND QUIZ THEM ON THE ANSWERS. YOU MAY EVEN HELP YOUR FAMILY TO EAT LESS.


EAT HEALTHY AND KEEP THE THANKSGIVING TIPS TO HELP WITH MEAL TIME THIS CHRISTMAS. I HOPE THESE SUGGESTIONS HELP. IF YOU CAN'T DEAL WITH THE PRESSURE, JUST REMEMBER YOU'VE ENJOYED THESE FOODS BEFORE AND THINK ABOUT HOW THEY TASTED AND ENJOY THAT MOMENT AND THEN CHOOSE LIFE AND HEALTH INSTEAD. THAT IS HOW I'VE MADE IT 8 YEARS!
